Moving can be just as stressful for your kids as it is for you. Make them less stressed by visiting your new home (if it’s close) before the move and take a few toys over each time. Make sure you hold off on getting rid of your child's old bedroom furniture, this usually provides a sense of comfort and familiarity in their new room.

Before you unplug and pack up all electronics, label your cords. A piece of duct tape or masking tape, with the name of the corresponding equipment written in pen, will save you from having to guess what’s what when you reassemble everything in your new home.
